What are some jobs that have to do with sciences?

What kind of jobs can someone with a degree in Environmental Sciences get, and what would the income be?

  • Answer:

Jobs with government or non-profit organisations, with lower-middle class incomes. If you want more money, large industrial companies might hire you to help them keep greens off their back.

Depends on what you want to do - there are great careers in project management, research & development, safety & health, etc. If environmental studies is a passion, pursue it. Income varies with positions - if you're working for a non-profit you'll make far less that for a large engineering company. Jump on monster.com and look at current postings for examples. Energy efficiency and green building are other areas to pursue. Not only is there a lot of buzz right now about efficiency and global warming, companies are already paying $65-80k to college grads specializing in these areas. By the time you're out of school, the opportunity will be endless.

Possibly the (EPA), Enviromental Protection Agency or the (DEQ), Department of Environmental Quality. Also, with a Civil Service Examination, the ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS. Pay depends on knowledge and years of service.

james

Enviromental Science teacher. About $18K/yr.
