U.S exports with European Union?

• I read a NY Times article that stated exports to the EU is only 3% of all American exports. I am trying to exaggerate to my Economics teacher the current European Bank Bailout on part of the U.S, is unjustified as the European economy has little effect on the U.S. Moreover, it is only 3% of our EXPORTS. I understand if it was maybe 3% of our GDP. I am also trying to insinuate to her that Central Banks are the main cause of all these bailouts, and they should be abolished. However, are there any pages or web articles which continues to bolster the fact that trade with the EU is so little and is really only 3%?
