How many people have access to potable water in Uganda? How much of this water is used in production?
-
I am doing a comparison booklet on Uganda and Oregon / U.S. for my world history class and I have to do a section on the water resources and state the facts and then evaluate how this might effect Uganda's economy. I have already figured out that 60% of the population has access to potable drinking water, I also know that Lake Victoria dominates the south eastern corner of Uganda and is the 2nd largest fresh water lake in the world. But i need to know what percentage of the water is used for crop production and other economical uses. I am having trouble locating this information. I also need help with explaining the relevance of Lake Victoria and how it may effect Uganda. Any help would be great and if you could cite your sources for me it would be much appreciated.
