What kind of jobs can you get with a major of business economics?

  • is there a wide range of different jobs for this major? is it good to major in this? is this an easy major?

  • Answer:

    You can work in Investment company, Financial institution , Banking, Foreign exchange, Insurance company, and also in major company as a investment consultant (only after you have experience on the above jobs). I think it's good. Even if you don't work with any of the companies above, you have the basic knowledge re investment (eg: profit, return, value, worth, time etc). Is this an easy major : i would say there isn't any easy major.

You are laboring under a mistaken assumption that your undergraduate major somehow matters. It doesn’t, unless it is engineering, pre-med, or pre-law. What matters is the skills you acquire and people you meet along the way. Take your Economics major, for example. Unless you have special skills (SAS programming or advanced statistical analysis, for example), the employers (more specifically, their HR departments) will not know the difference between you and someone who majored in Business, Accounting, Finance, or even English literature.
