Can a monopolist/monopoly and monopsony classified under competitive (labour market)?

if i have an essay question on determinants of supply and demand in a competitive labour market should i discuss supply/demand of labour in a monopsony/monopoly as well or no? thanks

hi no, you shouldn't do that......... as you know, the opposite of a perfect competitive market is monopoly. A monopoly doesn't have any competition, however, firms in a perfect competitive labour market compete with one another to hire a specific type of labor. Employees in a competitive labour market have identical skills. Also, in a competitive lalbour market firms and individual workers are "wage takers;" they don't have any control over the market wage rate.. More importantly, these kind of firms are efficient.....
