Does anyone know what does Stearn (economist) means by the "forging of the industrial family"? What role did this process play in the formation of a modern labour force and of modern social relations?

Answer:
He was basically talking about families moving from being farmers to factory workers. The numbers needed in the family reduced from around 12 to 4 because they didn't need the family to harvest the crops. Education changed from Agriculture to Science and Engineering etc.
