What is poverty to America, and what is poverty to the developing/third worlds?
-
what is the difference?
-
Answer:
As you probably understand poverty in America is a lot different then poverty in the rest of the world. Poverty is relative and actually defined as a certain lower portion of population. So here in the US someone who is in poverty lives in a trailer, eating fast food, and watching just basic cable. On the other hand, someone who is in poverty in sub-Saharan Africa probably is starving to or near starvation to death. Hope it helps.
