How can an MMA Company compete with the UFC?

My dreams. Is this life plan legitimate?

  • My goal in life is do become a French Foreign Legioneer, a US Army Ranger, and later in life a UFC fighter. Yes I know, very ambitious. I am an excessively ambitious young man. Don't worry about my preparations, I am already preparing myself for this life. I run long distance every day, research qualifications, and I train at a mixed martial arts gym, I am getting better and better each and every day. My life plan is to graduate from high school and at the age of 18, fly over to France and serve a five year contract in the Legion until 23. I then plan to join the National Guard and use their program to attain a two or four year degree, training for MMA and going to the dojo and such. After completion, I plan to use some accumulated leave to continue training for MMA and then eventually do a two year Rangers contract. This should take me to the age of either 29 or 31. Is it realistic that I could compete in the top tier promotion? I believe it is possible, if a long shot.

  • Answer:

Why wait to train for MMA? We have plenty of MMA training in the Legion. It is one of our favorite pastimes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5jz94Xm9G9E We learn Krav Maga... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIfqOMKpmFE If you are going to be getting your face beat in I wouldn't waste my time going to school. You will suffer brain damage. Stick with the Legion for 15 years and pull your pension at 33. You get 45 days of leave a year so that gives plenty of time to go to MMA tournaments. You won't be able to join the Rangers as the 5 year block in your record will keep you from getting security clearance.

Other answers

You need to do the US army first, and then try the other things. The US army isn't going to be interested in recruiting some aging nutjob French Foreign Legionairre and UFC wannabe. But you can go the other way, I reckon.
