1. Less people paying taxes. 2. Less people spending money...thus, many businesses fail. 3. As businesses fail, people lose jobs...and the cycle continues. 4. Increases crime 5. Unemployed parents can't pay for children's education...so instead of going to college, they'd have to try and find a job in an environment where people are losing jobs.

Unemployed resort to crime to earn more cash to get what they want, therefore there would be more crime.
