What is the best college for underwater/nautical archaeology?

What do you do in college for 12 years to be a part time professor of archaeology and go on adventures?

  The real adventure in archaeology is learning the truth about the human past. Often-times, that truth is pretty boring (at least compared with an Indy film). But it is also very often surprising! Like you, I became interested in archaeology at a very young age. My interests came from wandering around in the woods and wondering about the old ruins (foundations of houses and abandoned roads) that I found there. By your age, I was doing silly things like taking a pencil, compass and graph paper into the woods to map what I found. And my parents were beginning to worry. They stopped worrying once I got my first job doing archaeology in the 1980s. Several years of college and grad school - all of which was great fun - though not easy - and I was a bona fide archaeologist. I've never looked back, but, like Jeriuana, I've never fought Nazis, been chased by boulders, or shot (or even punched) anybody. Good luck in your quest for knowledge!
