How to explain african art?

How do anthropologists explain humans ability for art?

  • Answer:

Thats a tough one i have to admit. but still art does have some evolutunary advantage, or we would not have it. Its that simple. But what exactly is the advantage. I have honestly no idea. I can only speculate that art does train the brain in various ways usefull for survival, like enhancing the intelligence. but like i say thats only speculation

Art is just an form of recording: earth, sky, ocean, and people. People feel the need to record events they encountered. From ancient cave drawings to modern day paintings, they are just simply stories but with pictures instead of words to tell people what has happened.
