  Hello, I'll try my best to help you. This really depends on where you would like to go in Australia as each state has a couple of good universities, most of which will offer anthropology related post graduate studies and would be happy to accomodate your theme (a very noble theme I may add). If you have a Master's degree already, are you planning to do a PhD? It is important to note that an Australian PhD uses the British system, not the American, so there is generally no course work in an Australian doctorate. You are generally required to write a long thesis on a specific issues (Australian doctorates tend to be more specific than their American counterparts). I may be biased here, but my top pick for universities in Australia would be the Australian National University (ANU). ANU is the top rated university in this country and probably the best place to study anthropology/sociology. I'm a graduate student there. ANU is in Canberra which is the Australian capital. This being said, it isn't the largest or most interesting city in Australia by any means and is not close to beaches or other places traditionally associated with Australia. Do you intend to pursue work as an academic in future? If so I'd recommend ANU again as it is often ranked in the top 20 universities in the world which means your work is more likely to be recognised internationally. It's sad but that's how it is. Within Australia we don't really care too much for university rankings, they don't make that much of a difference to your career here, but I've been told that changes when you take your degree to another country. In other states, these universities are worth a look as well for your field: The University of Sydney (New South Wales) The University of Western Australia (Western Australia) The University of Melbourne (Victoria) The University of Queensland (Queensland) Monash University (Victoria) The University of Adelaide (South Australia) These universities are often considered some of the best in the country.
