What exactly DO the Dead Sea scrolls say? Have they actually translated it yet?

Answer:
They have been translated and published, fascinating reading. They seem to date from around the time of Christ and look like they were the library of an Essene colony. They do NOT agree with the bible and seem to be similar in tone and style, "end of the world" stuff and monastic rules and religious rules. The Essenes were interesting and fairly extreme by Jewish standards. Any large library will be able to get an English translation for you on loan.
