What part of the bible does jesus say original sin?

  You are asking two different questions. Asking where Jesus says he is dieing for the sins people were committing is not the same as asking where he mentions original sin. Regarding the first question, He says in several places that his death is for the forgiveness of sins. For instance, see Mark 10:45 (the Son of Man came ... to give his life as a ransom for many) and Matt 26:28 (this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins). Regarding original sin, I do not know of anywhere where he specifically talks about this doctrine. But you have a very limited understanding of Christianity if you think that every doctrine must be founded on a specifically recorded teaching of Jesus. It is quite clear that the gospels give only an edited summary of what he said. For instance Luke 24:27 says that he explained all the references to himself in the books of Moses and the prophets, but does not say what specifically those references were. And John 21:25 says explicitly that the gospel is not a full account of everything Jesus did. If you believe that Jesus taught his apostles, then you have to accept that the things he taught will be found second-hand in the writings of those apostles as well as in first-hand quotes. If you do not accept this, then your problem is not with original sin, but with the authority and inspiration of the Bible as a whole. Also, you are being disingenuous when you say that original sin was an invention of St Augustine and yet make it clear that you know (and reject) the much earlier allusions to original sin in the writings of St Paul (eg I Corinthians 15:22). Finally, you have a mistaken understnading of what original sin is. The doctrine does not say that a baby is a sinner (ie has committed, and bears personal guilt for, specific sins). It says that the baby is in an inherited state of estrangement from God, with a natural tendancy towards sin.
