What does it take to be accepted to medical school?

Whay does it take so much just to be accepted in school?

• Right i am in year 10 at school in the UK and obviously like in every school there are a group of girls who are 'popular' and think they are better than everyone else. I don't wear makeup personally i don't think i need it because i am not ruining my skin just to be accepted but i feel down at school alot because all the girls just think that they are better and i have lived with it for years but i want to know what you think on the whole thing at schools. Like my sister who is in 2nd year at 6th form(college) tells me that when you get older people just forget about the crap and move on but i just cant see it happening. I have known this girl since we were 2 years old and even now we are still friends, she started hanging around with the wrong people and because i am not popular as such they dont like me. She still talks to me but its like they dont want me to be friends with her it does upset me sometimes. Do you agree that it may change or what is it like in your school. If your from a different country year 10 is the year you starts to take your GCSE's mabye called SAT's in america not sure. Thanks! x

  They are adolescents changing from being children in their families and on the way to becoming individual adults. At this stage everything is drama. Backbiting, emotional swings and status are all important. Later, say about 20, the drama isn't as important. They become adult and usurally find status in their jobs and mature relationships. Right now, for everyone involved, respect and a sense of self worth is all important. For those that know who they are it's rough.
