Why is a neanderthal not human?

Neanderthal VS Human Beings?

  • Is the Neanderthal man a different species to the Human Being?

  • Answer:

Yes. They shared a common ancestor, but Neanderthal spent hundreds of thousands of years adapting to the colder conditions of Europe and west Asia. They had bigger muscles and a stockier body. The had an expanded rib cage that housed larger lungs. Their chin was weaker and they had a prominent brow ridge. Though they did interbreed with Cro-Magnon (early modern humans), they are considered by most scientists to be a separate species.

They were a different species to us, Homo sapiens, but I would argue they were still human beings. A different species of human being. That is something that no longer exists but our ancestors co-existed with several other species of human. Neanderthals are distinct but were still close enough that they could interbreed with Homo sapiens (evidence has been found suggesting that this happened).

yes. even though there's some kind of proof that the two species interbred.
