What would be a good Anthropology magazine to subscribe to?

    I agree with the answer from Josh, with one qualification: generally it's anthropologists in the US that belong to the American Anthropological Association. There are equivalent organisations in many other countries and regions. In the Commonwealth countries, the "king" of anthropology journals is the Journal of the Royal Anthropological Institute. Individuals can get a subscription, but you can also find it in many university libraries. http://www.wiley.com/bw/journal.asp?ref=1359-0987&site=1 Apart from that, it may depend on your particular field of interest; for which more specialised journals may be available. Any general interest magazines you see at newsstands etc are usually pretty crap. There really isn't a good print anthropology magazine. Most anthropologists are members of AAA and subscribe through journals through there and even a number of those are moving to being solely digital. Most anything you find in bookstores is worthless.
