What do i need to take in college?

What classes do i need to take in Junior college for anthropology?

  • Ok. I'm only a sophomore in highschool, but i already know what i want to be. I want to be a forensic anthropologist but ive read that i have to go through steps before i master in one thing.. that i have to learn every anthropology before i go to one.. and ive also read that i need to take archaeology classes.. but my main 3 questions i suppose are Where can i start of learning about this? What classes do i need to take in college to work my way up to the main university? and What kind of grades do i need now in high school to get there...? Please answer me.. this is what ive always wanted to do and I'm not sure on how to get there.

    Community College would be to complete the core courses required for a BS degree. As in English, Math, History, etc. Look at colleges that grant degrees in anthropology and what course they require. Then compare those courses to the community college. You'll want to have completed the required credits to transfer to the 4 year college.

I agree with Icabod, go to a community college first. I did not focus on college while in high school, as a result I think I graduated with a 1.5 grade point average. Keep your grades in the mostly a's and some b's while in high school. I went to the military and then went to a community college as a nontraditional student, I never woul've gotten in right out of high school with my grades. Community college is also a good chance to get scholarships (I got outstanding grades in comm. college so my next school gave me a good scholarship). The community college I went to (in Powell, Wyoming) was a great, inexpensive school with small classes, an awesome tutoring program, 25 to one professor to student ratio (?) and also had an anthropology department so I got all my required classes and was able to take anthropology classes for my electives. Just go online and look at schools to find out more info. Good luck
