How much longer do you think the human race will survive?

Well that depends on how badly situations can get. The first one that comes to mind is a nuclear war. Normally the toughest of the toughest species would survive a small small version of one, but anything larger than small would end up destroying the earth--thus we no longer have anywhere to live and then we die, obviously. The second is a disease in which we cannot seem to cure. That could occur, and has the same chance of any random number of people being resistant to the disease or it mutating to a benign string. We'll (human race) be around for a much longer time, centuries beyond centuries. Have some faith in the good people that sit in labs and in their basements creating miracles out of chemicals and everything else we shake and turn our faces over.

It's pretty scary that people are actually taking questions like this seriously. To be honest I think we're F****D. As a race we should strive for the best for humankind, but we don't see it very often do we? I think spiralling technology and the threat of major(nuclear) threats from terrorist fanatics is the biggest worry we have. Another thing is how insular people are these days. Look at the marriage figures, not half as many people get married and the ones that do break down more often than before. We need a modern day renaissance.

Apparently they say we have 70-80 years left on this planet, we can change it round but everyone has to help. They say that if the UK went all green and did everythhing to help the enviroment and no one else did, they say what good we would do, Japan/China would undo it all in 2 years of trying. I was watching a programme that said the red sea will lose all its fish/plants/oxygen they will all die within 30 years it is a scary thing all we have got to hope is that they have got it wrong. But the weather is getting worse like they predicted already.

As long as we are smart enough and if we make the right choices, we won't be extinct. (Right now I don't think that's exactly happening.)

My old father appeared to me and told me that all we people on earth are just spirits sent here to serve a life sentence for broken laws. The body we fill determines the length of time we have to serve. This practise has worked well since it's inception, but there is a problem now with population control. The powers that be in the spirit world have come to the conclusion that the only answer to the predicament is; to abandon planet Earth and find another suitable planet to send our lawbreakers. This will mean that the corridor to the spirit world will be cut. You will no longer have a spirit life, and your death on earth will be final. JB

Man, humans have been worrying about extinction for thousands of years and they r still alive. And tomorrow, some asteroid might hit earth and kill everything alive. So what? Questions like that r a waste of time imho. If u don´t have anything else to worry about, I suppose ur pretty well off.

4 more years, in 2012 there are going to be severe natural disasters like nothing we've seen before, due to the magnetic poles reversing. The Mayans predicted there would be an end t creation in 2012.

Frankly, I don't think we have evolved enough to call ourselves human yet. Check back in 1,000 more years to: - see if we are still here, and - see if we behave in a rational manner
