What song should I do for my Show Choir audition?

I have an audition for a show choir on September 12 and I need a good song badly?

  • Please help! This is my first real choir audition and I don't know what to sing . The letter they sent me recommended Amazing Grace, The Water is Wide ,and Swing Low ,Sweet Chariot .I sing The water is wide pretty well but I've seen them sing before and I don't think it will be good enough . I really want to join this choir. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you .

Next time, help us help you. Give us a genre for the show Choir, looks like Gospel is the theme? Right? Can't tell, but if it is, I personally like "Oh Happy Day" it's really simple to learn, and you can spruce and jazz it up so many ways. Also, it would have been nice to know your vocal part. If you are a high singer, you could try "Sound of Silence" or "Bridge over Troubled Water" both are challenging and vocally showy, the second more so than the first. Maybe next time you'll give us more clues ;-). Good luck!!!

Hummm... that's all that christian... let's see... look at these: GO DOWN MOSES... It's a Traditional song NOBODY KNOWS THE TROUBLE I'VE SEEN... Another Traditional Song OH FREEDOM... Another Traditional Song ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT.. Another Traditional song THE BELL DOTH TOLL.. Another Traditional song I hope one of these works.. I'm trying to give you something uplifting that isn't necessarily christian.
