Guitar HELP!!! WIRING?

Help wiring Eddie Van Halen guitar?

  • I'm making the Frankenstrat. I'm using the SH-1B '59 Seymour Duncan humbucker from best buy and the floyd rose bridge http://www.guitarfetish.com/NEW-Heavy-Duty-Dual-Locking-Floyd-Rose-Trem-BRASSSTEEL_p_518.html. Tell me if i'm right on this stuff. I ordered all the parts instead of modding a strat. So the body is routed to specs. But I need help on the wiring! I'm only using one humbucker. I'm not using the neck pickup. Thanks!

Go to the Seymour Duncun website and look for wiring diagrams, then select the appropriate one (single humbucker or whatever you're using as well as what knobs for tone and/or volume). It'll give you a diagram for exactly how to wire it.

It doesn't matter. You hook up to whatever knobs your want to control from the origin of the 1/4" jack input hole and the pickups to whichever knob controls that pickup (top, middle bottom, depending on how many control knobs you have.
