What Song Should I sing In the Talent Show?

What song could I sing for a talent show?

  • I recently auditioned for my schools talent show, and I got in. The problem was, I had to change my song. [Love Me Dead- Ludo] They said that song was too 'dark'. So what song could a girl with a strong, alto voice sing that would also put on a great show? I can't sing Evanescence, as another girl is already doing them. I need to find a great karaoke version of the song as well, so can anybody help me out?

    Everybody is copying the Top 40 songs, go back and do some old Motown or blues--you might find some videos of Martha Reeves helpful (she is an alto, check YouTube).
