Steps you take to become a choreographer?

• I am 14 years old, and I have been in dancing for 12 years. Dancing is pretty much my life. I had a muscle accident when I was little, so I'm not all exactly that flexible, but I'm working hard to get it back. Its my dream to open up my own dance school, and be a choreographer. But, I don't know what education steps I need to take to become one. What classes do I take in highschool, and what courses in college? How long should I stay in dancing, and what part time jobs should I take?

  Abiltiy is more important than education. Many choreographers barely finished High School because they were so wrapped up in dancing... but you asked what you need.. all I can do is tell you that my wife was a DANCER and FIGURE SKATER who did both professionlly until she got too old for them.. you are over the hill before you turn 40 in either of those two skills.. so she turned to doing Choreography and became a well known choreographer for both dance and Skating before she died.
