What can i use with a Guitar Amp Head?

• Hello there, right, the basic question is, If i got a guitar amp head, would i be able to use it through my Laney Linebacker KB80. Also, on the front left of the amp, it has 3 more jack sockets labelled, FX LOOP - return and send, and another labelled remote. Then (on the picture) it has some more jack sockets labelled, Speakers (4 ohm min), DI, Headphones (then just power and switch) So, if i bought an amp head, lets say Laney LX120RH Guitar Head Amp, would i be able to plug that into the linebacker and use it as a cabinet? Also, lets say in the future, i wanted to upgrade to full on Amp head and speaker, what amp head would you recommend, i play quite a bit of metal and rock, occasionally lash out into blues and old style rock :P

  It's impractical at best....and potentially destructive at worst...to plug one head into another. What would make the most sense would be to use the old KB80 as a cabinet only to run the LX120RH. In the second photo, you can see the plug in the back where the built-in speakers are plugged into the back of the amp. If you plugged that cable into the LX120RH, you would by-pass the KB80 amp and use the speakers for the new amp head. The problem with this is that the KB80 speakers are most likely designed for 80 watts. I assume the LX120RH is 120 watts(?) so if you drive it too hard, you'll blow the 80 watt speakers. Since you won't be able to utilize the full power of the new amp head, I have to ask...what's the point? Unless the new head has a lot of features that you can't live without, it seems like a pointless proposition since you won't be able to utilize the extra power. What might make sense is to get the new head and then trade the old combo amp for a 120 watt cabinet.
