What are some simple/intermediate magic tricks???

  • I'm 12 and have asked this question twice already. Anyway, I'm getting into magic, because Criss Angel has inspired me. :) and I'm really getting into it. In the past 4 days I have learned almost 15 tricks I learned 11 in one day. I'm getting good at it. I need some good magic tricks and illusions. I catch on quite easily. I need some tricks that are pretty easy for me to do, but hard for my audience to figure out. Please help. I've learned 3 tricks from the Teach-A-Trick on Criss Angel's Mindfreak. I love that show real or fake. Anyway please help. Criss Angel is a great illusionist/magician. He has inspired me so much. I don't really have a history of magic in my family, but I love it. I tried magic when I was 8 or 9 and gave it up, because I didn't have any tricks. All I had was a trick card deck. Well anyway, at least I got intrested in it when I was younger. PLEASE HELP!!! I really love magic, just need tricks!!! PLEASE HELP ME!!! I'd really appreciate it!! THANKS!!

    Glad to see there is someone interested in magic! First of all I can understand your frustration, I too have trouble getting people to answer my questions. As for magic tricks I can definitely help you. Contact me via email, [email protected] and I can teach you from there. Heres a quick demo of what I can offer you. Get a regular deck of cards and from the bottom count four cards onto the floor or table and then put a four of hearts upside down. Square up the deck and ask your spectator to pick a card preferably near the top of the deck tell her to memorize it. Tell her to put it on top of the deck. Then cut the deck and tell her "wouldn’t it be amazing if one card in the deck turned over?" and he says "yes" and you say "well...(fan thru the cards with your left thumb pushing the cards into your right hand) and say "that card is the four of hearts" she'll say that’s not my card and you’ll say "yeah that card was just helping me..." then count off 4 cards onto the floor/table then flip over the next card and that'll be his card!!

first of all, get a high quality deck. some cheap or plastic deck will ruin everything. use bicycles, tally-hos or bees for everything you do with cards. now, if you dont want to pay for tricks, you can download them from demonoid.com or almost any torrent site. for card magic, i recommend starting with ellusionist's crash course or penguinmagic's born to perform card magic. if you're into cheating at cards, read erdnase's expert at the card table (then you can download jeff wessmiller's weapons of the card shark or tudor's card sharp, both are excellent) if you want to do flourishes, start with de'vo's extreme beginners (then you can move on to brian tudor's and dan&dave's stuff)
