Are clothes and shoes cheaper in Korea than in the US?

Questions about SM Weekly Auditions in Korea.(: You don't have to answer all of it.(: Just the ones you know.?

  • The title says all.(: Just an average Korean American teenager that want to pursue her goals of becoming an idol like most of the world. 1. Can i do a group audition with a friend for the weekly audition in Korea? 2. Can you tell me a little about life as a trainee? I know the things aobut it being hard. That's why i'm willing to go through that. But can you tell me more about the schools and stuff for foreigners that make it into SM. 3. For the dance part, is it freestyle? Or do i dance to something i prepared? If it's freestlye, any good impressive moves that i can catch on too? in freestyle, i only do the wave.___. 4. Any tips about the judges?(: Like how i can impress them? 5. I know SM is all about the looks. I think the talent and looks are like half and half. I don't have perfect skin, but i'm auditioning next SUMMER and i'm going to a dermatologist now so that should help but does your skin really matter?:P 6. What clothes do I wear? Do i wear the things i wear to dance class? (Leggings, dance shoes, and baggy hello kitty shirt) 7. Can i audition for acting, singing, and dancing?(: 8. What happens in each round? What do I do, who do i perform infront of, that kind of thing. 9. I don't think anyone has an answer for this but how do i bring up the topic that i want to become an idol as my career to my parents? I told them i wanted to be a teacher but that' AFTER i grow old and retire.. And how do i convince them to let me audition? They won't fall for the "this is my dream and this is what i want to do" talk. Whenever i say the words "Mom, i need to talk yo you about something important." She automatically assumes that I got in trouble or I did something bad.__. And they are super duper asian parents so they would like.. hit me with a bamboo stick or tell me to go study or something. any tips on how to prevent that?:P haha. that was more of an OPTIONAL question.:P Thanks in advance.<3 it means a LOT. and nothing rude please. I want to practice AHEAD of time. that's why i'm asking in september when i'm auditioning in late July. Oh, and I know it's a big plus if i know english AND korean, but how much does that impact? xoxox

  • Answer:

I'm trying to audition myself! Here are somethings I do know: 1. I think so. But I think it's best if you do it on your own, because only one of you can get in if you both do it together. If you're the only one who is auditioning and you need an extra/friend then you need the bigger role so they know only YOU are auditioning or just tell them that it's only you. 2. A trainee is hard, yes. You'll go to school and train at the same time which makes it really difficult. You'll rarely get to see your family since you only get some weekends/days off. But if you can handle that then you're a brave little trooper. 3. You'll be asked to dance freestyle. Maybe you can take some dance lessons or watch people online who dance and give tutorials. 4. Well, since you know that SM is mainly on looks, you don't have to look REALLY pretty and they could care less on talent but you can try giving it your all if you're singing or dancing. 5. I think everything matters in SM's point of view. But if you have really bad skin then yeah, it kinda does matter. If you have little imperfections, it's fine but you can fix those if you want. 6. Wear something that's comfortable to dance in. The outfit you chose to wear sounds cute! So I guess that's okay. 7. Yes. 8. I don't know, sorry. 9. My parents can relate. They're not sure how to react when their child tells them that they want to become an idol because they might think you'll regret it and make a mistake, they're just worried. But make sure if this is what you really want to do and tell them that you really wanted to do this for a long time, and surely they'll understand. Show them how much you want to be a star and audition. If you make it then they'll be really proud, and they would see how much you've grown up and was able to do something you love by working hard for it. Good luck auditioning! - Minzy
