Are there any voice instructional DVDs?

Instructional Shred Guitar DVDs?

  • I've heard of Paul Gilbert and Batio DVDs, but I don't know exactly which ones to get. It'd be awesome if someone could provide a list of these Shred lesson DVDs, show the best ones and/or maybe show the appropriate difficulty required to follow each one. Also, If It helps, my level of playing is at the intermediate level (If I had to guess).

  • Answer:

I personally like the both of them. Paul Gilbert is really good. Saw hime live and the dude rocks. Batio is also top-notch. Go on youtube and type in Paul Gilbert. Remember that you need to be good with economy-picking. I studied that years ago and helps for super fast licks. If you watch Batio, he uses economy-picking. He pushes down on the sting and you can easily see it in the attached video.
