Irish fiddle music help?

I really would LOVE to play the Fiddle!?

• I just love the way it sounds and I have ALWAYS wanted to play it sense I was 7 I am now 14. I don't play any instrument but my voice (I can sing folk and country music). I would love to sit in my room and have something else to do instead of watching tv. But I have a few question. (Sorry I don't think I put this under the right category if not just bare with me lol) How hard is it to play I know it would be hard but how hard from 1-10? I have quick finger's (I can play a LITTLE bit of Piano) could that help? If you have any more info about the Fiddle and/or if you play it I would love your input.   It's not the easiest instrument to play, but plenty of people learn it. Nimble fingers help. You'll never get past the most basic beginner level with an online course. If you just want to be able to play a few simple tunes, that's fine, but if you ever want to be good you'll need to learn properly. If you have a really good ear you'll be able to pick up tunes by ear, but otherwise you'll have to learn to read music. The fiddlers who can't read music have someone teaching them tunes by rote. We can't tell you everything you need to know in the space allowed for an answer here.
