What is a good audition song for an 13 year old girl alto?

• I have a long time to prepare for the audition and i am gonna audition for hairspray it is with a community theater.I don't want any songs with swear words in them and no song from the musical and nobody say that i wont get a part cuz i am too young the people who are doing it know me and i have done stuff with them and even tho i am 13 now i will be 14 then i was thinking of doing somewhere over the rainbow from the wizard of oz or no good deed from wicked. It has to be a song that will blow them away so nothing silly.

  Try The Lamest Place in the World or What it means to be a Friend from 13 the musical. If you want more of a power house song then Don't Rain On My Parade from Funny Girl. Actually Funny Girl has quite a few good audition songs, (I may be doing "My Man" for my Cabaret audition in January). Somewhere over the rainbow is a really good audition song because it has a pretty good range. If you want a sweet song go with What It Means To Be a Friend, Lamest Place in the World would be a good choice if you don't feel confident enough with a full blown belting Barbra Streisand song, it's more of a "beginner belting" song.
