What should I get for my Gibson Les Paul?

Should i save for a gibson les paul standard or should i get a gibson les paul studio?

• i really wanna les paul, but over all i love the mosrite ranger, its like 3000+ for the mosrite, so i'll either get a les paul standard or studio, i know the differences are the looks and pickups and such, but if i could get a used standard for 1600, or a new studio for 1000 what should i get

  Both are great guitars. The Standard has a more all-around sound and is a good purchase if you can afford it. I own old guitars and one of them I play a lot is my 1969 Gibson Les Paul. I love the sustain and the fat frets. It all depends on what you want as sound and you need to try them out to see which one you feel at home with. E-bay has GREAT deals on second hand Gibson. Take a look. You will get great deals.
