How do you play a high F sharp on the clarinet?

How do you play a b sharp on the clarinet? or do you know a website with a fingering chart?

  • sorry but i have all county band tomorrow, and im cramming because i havent even tryed playing some of the peices, and one of them changes from b-flat to b-sharp in the middle of the piece and my fingering chart doesnt have b sharp of c flat. i need both high a low. I also need to know what it means when there is a sfz underneith two notes?

  • Answer:

b sharp=c natural (same fingering as c) c flat = b natural (same fingering as b) sfz= suddenly forceful (big attack)

B sharp is the same as C natural. "Sfz" is a sfortzando. You should play each note that it's written under with a sfortzando. (You might wanna practice your pieces before you have to play them!)

a B# is a C and here is a fingering chart for you http://www.amromusic.com/images/band_instruments/clarinet/fingering_chart_clarinet.gif sfz is when you attack the note with LOTS OF SOUND and very loud, and then you back off to very very soft

There is no such thing as b sharp/c flat. B sharp written on paper simply means c natural. Oh and I believe sfz means get loud and back off really quick and slowly get louder. Know what I mean?
