If your range is good enough you can try bigger, more powerful songs. But if you want to stay safe, I think you'll be fine with Miley Cyrus or Taylor Swift. :)

DO NOT DO ANYTHING FROM DISNEY CHANNEL! People won't take you seriously at all! And don't do Taylor Swift either! There are so many other songs out there way much better than those. I really can't think of good songs, but for my talent shows, I've done Sunday Morning by Maroon 5, and Suddenly I see by KT Tunstill. For the next talent show I have, I'm doing either Finally or Big Girls Don't Cry, both by Fergie. i'm sorry if I couldn't be more help, but just don't do Disney Channel, or Taylor Swift.
