What classes to take for architectual design?

What kind of classes could I take for Props and Costume Design?

My little dream I have is to make props and costumes either for a living or just for fun. Because my main goal is to become a video game designer. I wanna make stuff like this http://adamgrumbo.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/E99G6162.jpg Adam Grumbo is the one who made the Master Chief armor out of certain plastics and whatnot. I just wanna know what kind of courses I should take to make Props and Costumes like this. I live in Oregon and I want to go to The Art Institute of Portland and I'm just curious if I need to go to a different college to learn what to do or if its there and I don't know it. I'm gonna be starting a community college to get a head start for my college transcript but I'm just curious as to what I need to do for that or what the courses would be called.
