• How To I Get My Voice Back? I love singing and I have an audition for our school play in two days. Last year (7th grade and im a dude) my voice could go to any octive without cracking or sounding like i'm trying to hard. Now I'm in eigth grade and my voice sounds ok. It just cracks, sounds rough, can't go as high, and can't go to low either. I'm going through puberty. Still random days out of this year my voice would suddenly sound really good and then the next day it would be the ok voice again. I then thought this was a cause of my breathing since I have asma and I rarely go outside. So I tried running two miles a day to gain back this air. I also tried a nebulizer but sometimes my breathing would get good then it would be bad the next day. This could be a cause of me coughing and using a neti pot. I just want to get my voice back to that one crystal clear singing voice I had in seventh grade and random days of eigth grade. In eigth grade I did get my voice to go louder but it still sometimes cracks,goes of key, sounds boring, or just sounds crackely. How do I get my good voice back? What are some at home techniques, workouts, breathing exercises, singing techniques,etc. to do so? Also how do I breath better,keep my voice the same, and why is this happeneing to my voice?   Please go see an ear-nose-throat specialist, because it is the only PROPER way to find out the causes of your problems. Only that way you can be sure that you don't have any underlying nasties like vocal nodules. Also, I hope that you should start taking lessons with a fully qualified vocal teacher, that is the only SAFE way to improve your voice without risking of getting vocal nodules, hoarseness and other nasties.
