Which do you like better Jackson or esp?

How does ESP compare with Ibanez and Jackson?

  • I've been playing an Ibanez for a while, and I also have a fairly decent respect for Jackson guitars as well. For some reason though, I've always been somewhat wary of ESP's. I don't know why, but I'm curious if I have any reason to be. I'm mainly concerned with the semi-upper end guitars produced by all three companies, you know - in the $800 - 1300 range. I'm looking to replace an older Ibanez RG presige, and while I've been looking at some Jackson soloists (a hefty price tag), I'm wondering if ESP's are a viable option. I keep seeing more and more bands using them, so I just want to know if they're made with the same sort of quality as the other major 'metal guitar' brands.

  • Answer:

It does not matter what other people think. It all depends on what feels right to you and your style. I have owned many guitars (Les Paul's, Fender Strats, Joe Pass Epiphone, etc) and it seems the one I pick up the most and plays great is a cheap $300 Aria Pro II. Dont let people tell you what are the best guitars, play around with a lot and see what you like the feel of best.
