What digital recorder lasts long?

A simple repertoire question: for recorder/flute?

• How common is it for these pieces to be played? I am currently expanding my repertoire of flute and recorder, because at the moment it is really pathetic, and full of kind of easy pieces (ok, not easy... but I'd like to start playing more difficult pieces. :P) I am trying to decide on the LEAST cliche one, to work on now, and maybe perform later.... 1. Concerto for flute in D major "Il gardellino", RV 428... (baroque flute.) - Vivaldi 2. Concerto for recorder in C maj, RV 444. (Sopranino recorder) - Vivaldi 3. Concerto for recorder in Gmin, RV 439 (Alto recorder) - Vivaldi 4. Sonata for flute in E min (Baroque flute) - Bach (which is a little easier, but oh well) 5. Concerto for flute In D Major TWV 51:D2 (baroque flute) - Telemann 6. Sonata VI - (alto recorder... or maybe descant?) Fontana

• Answer:

  1. 'Il gardellino' is one of the more popular Vivaldi concertos and one often hears it played on the flute. 2, Of the 'sopranino' concertos, RV 444 is the one most often performed. I like RV 443. 3. I am not aware that RV 439 is played all that often. 4. The Bach E minor is fairlt often played, as is 5, the Telemann. 6. Not sure I've ever even heard the Fontana!
