Is the Epiphone SG-400 a good guitar?

Which beginner guitar to buy Epiphone and Ibanez?

I have played around with guitars when I was younger and I am looking for a guitar for a beginner as I would consider myself. After looking around I am trying to decide on an Epiphone g-310, Les Paul 100, or a Ibanez art100. Can anyone help me out on any suggestions? You can go in for the Ibanez... because as you are a beginner, you won't know the difference now, but if you buy the Epiphone, you will feel the difference in some months... The Epiphone is made in Japan and has a lesser quality like plastic knobs etc. But if you go in for the Ibanez, you'll just love it, and your second one will also be an Ibanez.
