I would pick a song that you like and are confident singing. You want them to see who you really are, and the more confidence you have the better! Also keep in mind that you want to stand out in the crowd. Pick a song that really showcases your skill. Good luck :)

First you must have at least 20 top songs perfected before you even audition to have any chance at all. You will be up against people who are already making a living performing. None of the contestants other than the ones that get insulted are armatures. They have studied music and sing in performance already.

It is impossible to give a specific answer to this question without knowing your voice, but when auditioning for anything, I am always supportive of choosing something that you love and have fun with. Most importantly, make sure that you pick something that shows off the best part of your vocal range. Stay away from things that are overdone (i.e. "The Star Spangled Banner").
