How do I get my singing voice back after having a cold?

How can I get back my full singing voice?

• I had a pretty bad cough for a few weeks just recently. I got rid of the cough, although I still have some of the remains (which are more cold like and almost gone). I have this cough for almost a month, and when it started, my singing voice was completely gone. It has gotten better, but it still is not quite 100%. Sometimes when I talk it is sort of froggy too. I really need to get my singing voice back to normal soon, because I have a singing recital in the beginning of February. I am singing Wishing you were Somehow Here Again, which requires a lot of my range. I can sing it now, but some of the high notes don't sound as clear as I would like them too. I was also cast in a play, and my character has a solo song. does anyone know anything I can do to get my voice back to 100% quickly? PS: I understand a vocal warm up is important, and I will be sure to warm up well before I sing, but I'm not sure if that will be enough. if you know of any vocal exercises that would be particularly good, or anything else, please say! thanks!

  Oh girl I know how you feel! Well make sure you rest your voice as much as possible because its not completely healed yet! You should drink hot tea a lot and this may sound weird but drinking honey helps a lot! My friend uses this spray and says it works like a charm but tastes gross. You have to order it online though the website is under sources. Good luck or break a leg!
