How can I find my talent?

I have no talent? How can i find something unique?

  • Okay, I was watching this youtube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5BII4M8u8o and it made me realize I *really wish i knew how to dance in a unique or cool way. Or just have some "talent" thats worth telling people about. Like, "Hey, I can sing or watch this cool dance I can do". I don't have anything like that.. Im kind of just your average guy. I am good at giving my friends advice, but thats not a talent thats cool and i can show my family or friends for entertainment. I just dont know how to find something im good at. If i was serious about dance, I suppose i could take lessons buti dont have enough extra cash.. I used to play an instrument and was great, but thats not my style anymore... Any suggestions or ideas or well.... anything??

    it's not really about what you're good at... of course you have the some input with genes but what really does the most for people is practise... I contacted the guy who assists a blind and autistic pianist called Derek Paravacini who can play any piece of music after only listening to it once... and he just told me that "it's all hard work" on my email... the guy does it very well because he's filtered into doing nothing but playing the piano every day or so... and even when he's not playing it he's thinking about it and practising in his head and apparently practise in your head is the real deal... so all you have to do is choose what you want to be really good at and then persist at it... the only people who disagree with me are the ones who haven't... I've been regarded as a great musician myself but despite modesty I can seriously tell you that it was all just the fact that I enjoyed it and it engaged a large amount of my time and thinking...

Find something your already good at and practice at it. Talented people usually are the first to tell you they worked pretty hard to get there.

You'll never know what your talent is until you try different things. If you've tried dancing and maybe it didn't click too well, that's okay. I've never been able to dance either. Some people aren't born to sing either. Have you tried acting? try auditioning for a community play. maybe it doesn't have to be performing arts. have you considered drawing or painting? maybe not arts at all. i have never been a big sports person but i do thoroughly enjoy archery. I highly recommend it. A lot of people think it is a unique talent to have and they really envy it. If you don't find this helpful, why don't you google unique hobbies and talents? i hope you find what you're looking for :)
