I need a new flute, please help D;<?

Hi, I play my flute for an hour and a half every day, and I take private lessons. So my flute gets handled a lot, I don't know exactly what. brand it is, but I got it from Amro music store in Memphis. It's a step up instrument, but I'm going into high school next year and I'm in need of a new flute. Does anyone know of a place where I can get a quality flute besides Amro music store, they fucckked us over to bad when I got my flute from them. So, if someone could give me a link, or just the name of a place that I can get a flute that I can play through high school I would appreciate it.

Answer:
Check out www.fluteworld.com and www.flute4u.com All of the flutes on these sites are reputable brands and of great quality. I would personally recommend Pearl and Lyric flutes. I own a Pearl, and it's wonderful, but if I could trade it in for the Lyric my former section leader has, I'd do it in a heart beat. It's the intermediate model made by Miyazawa. Every flute plays differently though, so have one of those sites send you a few to try out if you're interested in them. What works for me may or may not work as well for you. Stay away from Gemeinhardt though. Even though they are listed on FluteWorld, their quality has dropped, and there are far more superior flutes available. Happy flute shopping!

I'm very sorry to hear about your problem with Amro. I'd love to try and make things right if I could. I'm CJ the General Manager at Amro, please give me a call or send me an email via our website. As far as finding another flute, there are deals to be had. Occasionally, you can find a good deal on a used flute but make sure to keep repair costs in mind...a good deal can turn backwards quickly. Make sure and try one before you buy it. You don't want to buy a flute that will not be comfortable or hinder your playing. The ultimate resource will be your band director or private instructor. They are familiar with how you play and can recommend a brand that will fit you the best. They can also steer you from investing in an off brand or a brand that isn't appropriate for an advancing player.

http://www.instrumentalsavings.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=flute I are looking for the absolute best quality out there, then this site is not for you. But they do offer some inexpensive intermediate and beginner flutes, and they are not the WORST quality. Check it out.

www.wwbw.com That stands for Woodwind Brasswind, just so you don't think that's random letters, 'cause it's not. :P Anyways, make sure to do research before buying anything. Look it up on the internet, see what others have to say for that particular brand. I, personally, own an Azumi 3000, which you can find on the site above by searching Azumi. If you want more details about the Azumi flutes, their website it www.azumiflutes.com If I remember correctly, there is very little difference between an Azumi 2000 and the 3000 version, except that the 3000 is generally about 700 dollars more. But if you can afford it ($1800) I would recommend the 3000. Most of these sites have all sorts of sales, so if you can wait a few months and keep an eye on a few different sites, you're bound to get a good deal. If I remember correctly, I got my Azumi 3000 for about 1200 dollars on sale, or I would have gotten the 2000. Whatever you decide, do the research; a lot of people go to Gemeinhardt just because it is a well known flute brand. I even owned a Gemeinhardt for years because my mom didn't do the research on my beginner flute that she did on my newer one, or she would have known that Gemeinhardt flutes are not very good. Beginner flutes are okay, but if you want a professional or intermediate, STAY AWAY! Those are really the only flute brands that I have experience with, so I wouldn't know about any others.
