What are some popular Ancient Greek Myths and where can I gain more information?

  • My school is doing a production of the play Metamorphoses and we need some myths that can be simply acted out as transitions between scenes

He plays music so beautifully he is allowed to go where no one has, gets her back, she follows him out, but he is not to look back for her until they are out of Hades - he does, she's gone forever, the end

Aesope's myths are good ones. Like the one with the hare and the turtle. The two had a race and the hare was so sure of himself winning that halfway through the race he stopped for a nap so the turtle overtook him and won. The moral thing of this is never to underestimate your opponent or you should not be arrogant.
