From horrible voice to heavenly?

I feel like my voice is horrible?

  • i've been told i have a pretty good voice,but when i recorded my voice on my cell phone,it sounded horrible!i've been singing since i was about 6 or 7,but i didn't think it was THAT bad.is there any way to improve my voice or is it the piece of equipment i'm using to listen to my voice?

    You have to have soul. Artists are not made, they are born. If one doesn't have talent, it's as simple as that. I'm not saying you don't have talent-- I've never heard you sing. Just think on it. I've recorded myself on my cell-- I sound the same as when I sing in person and in youtube videos. I don't think the quality of equipment has anything to do with it. If someone heard Elton John singing from a cell phone recording, he'd still sound incredible.

all voices on cell phones suck. try a mic, or a camera. if those fail. then....................................…

It can all be the thing you're listening to. If you really have a bad mic, the only thing it would ruin is the clarity or the volume. It would never have anything to do with the pitch though. Most times, when people listen to their own voices, it sounds weird because you hear a tiny bit different from yourself. Trust me, it might sound weird to you, but it sounds normal to everyone else. Ask your friends for an honest answer. Yep......

its probably the piece of equipment there is a way of knowing if you have a bad voice answer this question, have someone ever told you have a annoying voice or has anyone ever said that behind your back?if you said yes then yes you do have a horrible voice

its ur equipment. cell is a bad way to record your voice lol. the best way to hear how your voice sounds and record it is in a studio. or buy a microphone from best buy and hook it up to your computer. but don`t buy a cheap one. im talking $50-100 or more.

hey you dont have to worry its the case with most people it sounds really different when you record it on cell cos of the bad quality but i am sure ur voice will sound nice on mikes and non cell recorders.

this is the same with me. when i record a video of myself i always sound weird and terrible and that my facial expressions and smile is terrible. but its just the camera.

your voice is probably great! nobody likes the sound of their own voice, and recording devices such as a cell phone usually makes it sound really bad. dont worry its not you!
