What Song Should I sing In the Talent Show?

What would be a good talent show song to sing?

  • I want to sing a song at my school's talent show, but I'm stuck on what to sing. I'm a mezzo soprano belter, but I don't want to sing anything from a show. I'm looking for something that's either pop, rock or country. I really just want something that will show off my high belt.

If you're looking for something to belt out to, I'd try something Carrie Underwood. They're both country and pop, and they're common songs, so the audience would enjoy it, I think. Before He Cheats, So Small, I Told You So. Try any of those. Or if you're extremely good (and don't lie to youself if you're not [it will end badly]) I'd try Christina Aguilera. If you're just looking for a crowd response do something cliche, like Taylor Swift. Good luck.

Crazy In love by Beyonce. Anything Beyonce's good but Her songs are really challenging. Summerboy by Lady GaGa. It's unlike all of her any songs. So worth listening to it! Marry the Night, Highway Unicorn, Hair, The Queen. They're all good! I highly suggest one of these! Very powerful. Her new album is filled with exceptional songs. Kelly Clarkson What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stronger. Adele has crazy awesome songs, too. But they're overplayed. Think outside of the box. Good luck! Regardless of the song, kill it! :)

try out Cee Lo Green's Fool for You. Search it up on youtube, a lot of vocals. It's a duet featuring Melanie Fiona so you might need an additional person but that's up to you
