How much should I pay to study in A-Level?

Can i study performing arts alevel if i didnt do it at gcse?

  • I didnt take it at gcse but want to be a redcoat so now want to study it at alevel! Help please

  • Answer:

You most certainly can. Most courses require 5 GCSE's at C or above to be eligible for the course, but they can make exceptions. For performing arts you need no prior experience. If you are wanting to continue onto univerisity for drama, they do not require performing arts at a-level. It shows you have experience and an intrest in acting though. If you are wanting to go to a good university, you will have had to have taken at least 2/3 other 'hard' subjects at a-level. Performing arts is seen as a 'soft' subject, and many universities (not just oxbridge) dislike it at a-level. Just something to take into account before you choose to take performing arts. You can always join a drama group outside of college to show your intrest in acting/ drama and taking singing lessons or dance lessons will help to become a redcoat.I can imagine jobs for this are quite rare and especially at this time because of the credit crunch and with job oppurtunities being so low, therefore it might be a good idea to carry on to university until jobs and stuff are better, and just in case you change your mind. Good Luck! :D
