How to make a turkey costume?

A turkey costume?! Any ideas?

  • In my acting 1 class, I got the starring role in our final skit, but there's one problem. It's a thanksgiving play (yes, a thanksgiving play in June) and I have to play a turkey! I have to make my own costume somehow, and I have no idea what to do. My costume needs to look decent considering the turkey is the protagonist, but I don't know how to make the feathers, or gobbler, or anything! Has anyone had to dress up as a turkey before, or is just really creative, because I seriously don't have a clue what I can do. Lol, I'm in high school, in case you're wondering, and the only ones who see the skit will be my acting class (thank god!) but I still want an OK costume. Thank you!

You could wear a brown suit. The jacket could have a tail, and you could dye the coat-tail black with RIT dye. Then you could wear a red tie to represent the gobbler. And yellow or orange shoes for the feet.

Maybe you can order it online and sell it on eBay after without losing too much!
