How can I get sponsored by a top company?

How does one get sponsored by a musical instrument company (like Fender, Zildjian, etc)?

  First put together a simple proposal, outlining the sponsorship details. How much money are you asking for? What will it be used for? Is this for a non-profit organization? What is your background? Experience? Just prepare a simply laid-out, easy to read presentation on paper, perhaps with a photo of yourself. Once that is done, then call them up! Ask them who to talk to about sponsorships, and then send you proposal to that person. I'd start with a list of 100 companies, and hopefully at least 2 of them will be in touch with you.
