What are some good serious plays where I could find a monologue?

Need help finding monologue, double points?

• I need help finding a young male character who has a monologue in any show, fitting any of the following criteria: smooth/charming/romantic/spontaneous jock/jerk frat bro/big man on campus i don't care if it is a nice guy or a jerk, but i certainly do not fit the awkward or nerdy categories. Anything that plays off of excessive confidence is good, cocky is good. But nice and hopelessly romantic works as well. If you can think of ANY character who has a good monologue, please post, and, if you can, post a link to the monologue or a place i can find it or buy it. *I do not want links to generic sites where i can "find my own" monologue, those have not been working and i am more interested in monologues that others think are good and enjoy*

  I don't know of many monologues for the characters you have listed. However, for a young romantic, I would strongly suggest Matt's monologue from " The Fantasticks": There is this girl. She makes me young again and foolish. And with her, I perform the impossible. I defy biology, and achieve ignorance. There are no other ears but hers to hear the explosion of my soul. There are no others but hers to make me wise. And despite what they say of species there is not one plant or animal or any living thing that is made quite the same as she is. Stupid of course, i know it, and immensely undignified, but I do love her. So thats my situation in a nutshell. I've gone mad and the reason if you ask me is because..there is this girl. If you are not familiar with the show, the idea is there is a boy about 20 years old who thinks he knows a lot. He thinks that because he has been to college for a little while, he knows everything there is to know. Then he meets a girl and falls in love...when I preform a monologue i like to know the context.
