Whats a good song for a soprano to sing for an audition of "The Music Man"?

im auditioning for the play "The Music Man" and really want a lead, i'm a soprano. i was thinking "My Junk" from Spring Awaking, or another ballad. or should i sing something from The Music Man, because my old acting teacher said, don't sing anything from the show for an audition.! ahhh! help please!!!

I don't agree with your old acting teacher. If I were you I would sing "Goodnight, My Someone." If you choose not to sing from The Music Man, I would recommend trying "Bali Ha'i" from South Pacific. Good luck to you.
