Whats the best guitar for heavy metal like Metallica?

  • I want a new guitar for $500 or less that has that awesome Metallica sound and I don't want any of their artist signature guitars or anything with floyd rose tuners.

    There is no "best" guitar for metal. There are many excellent brands available. You will want something with a humbucker pickup in the bridge position. (maybe even a guitar with 2 humbuckers) Gibson guitars are top of the line but if your price is only $500 than you will want to look at Epiphone. Shop around and try as many different brands as you can afford. Look at Jackson, ESP, Ibanez, Schecter, etc.

For 500 you can find a quality name brand guitar like fender, Gibson, ibanez... Etc... A lot of that heavy sound has to do with the amp and the pickups. So investing in a 200 dollar amp with distortion, bass, tone, and mid settings, etc... Wouldnt be a bad idea

Get a Gibson Les Paul Supreme. Spend more and get a better guitar. There's only imports in your price range.
